PRE-TRIP INFORMATION – LORETO, MEXICO
Dear swimmer!

1) Loreto Airport is only 10 min away from Loreto town and the hotel. Local taxis are widely available at the airport and in town and you can pay in Mexican pesos or US dollars. On average the rate for the one-way drive is between 250-300 pesos.
You can request an airport pick-up via the hotel La Mision (at least 72 hours prior to arrival)
2) Should you travel via La Paz, there are several local buses daily between La Paz and Loreto. You buy a ticket on location.
Additional nights:
If you require additional nights’ accommodation while in Loreto, you can contact hotel La Mision and see if they have rooms available. Otherwise, there are other accommodation options in Loreto town.
Important information:
a) Some nationals may require a visa to enter Mexico. Please check this if you need one.
b) Have some pocket money in either US dollars or Mexican pesos for evening meals and tipping. The boat crew (and guides) are usually tipped at the end of the trip. ATMs are available in town to withdraw cash.
c) Items to bring: All you need for swimming plus, Towel, Aqua Shoes, Drinking Water Bottle marked with YOUR NAME on it. You will bring it on the boat daily. Icebox is available. We have for you our complimentary silicone swim caps. Should you require fins, masks and swimming tow floats please bring these with you.
d) We also ask you to bring a face mask (covering) should this be required to wear while on your trip (or getting there).
e) Use bottled water in Mexico including at the hotel. The shop is around the corner. Our boats have large flasks to refill your drinking bottles while out at sea.
