Strel Swimming guide and swim coach Giovanna Richards (G), has had a busy few months in the UK. She is competing in the UK Cold Water Championships and organising the first ever UK Ice Mile Swim. She reached the finals in the UK Championships, swimming in 1.5 degree water at Tooting Bec Lido in London.

Swim Smooth selected G in February from 112 swim coaches from around the World. They have invited to attend the Coaches Education Programme at the Olympic Village at Loughborough University. She will join 10 other swim coaches to be trained in advanced front crawl coaching techniques and also stroke correction.

The British Triathlon Federation use the Swim Smooth programme for their elite GB athletes. Giovanna Richards will be able to coach many swimmers using her new skills.

G will also be attending the first UK Royal Lifesaving Society in-water rescue course in April. This teaches open water swim coaches rescue techniques in case of an emergency.

G is looking forward to guiding Strel Swimming Adventures in Slovenia in July and August. Her advanced coaching skills will be on offer in order to help swimmers with their technique.
